The letter UNFINISHED BUSINESS: The matter of a baseball scoreboard at Sequoia Union High School was tabled at the suggestion of Mr. Morton. The Oleson Motors baseball team may be discontinued, he said. Mr. Morton reported.a San Mateo group was interested in leas- . . ing the pistol 'range on Harbor Blvd. MSC that the. commission recommend the lease of the range, at terms to be set by t~e city manager, with the proviso that the city police department be allowed to use the range for target practice. Mr. Eva reporte~ that the Mod~l Airplane ClUb, as initiated by the Redwood City Exchange Club, was now functioning with Char- les prelsnik as adviser. Considerable discussion was held but no action was taken on the question of the Musicians' Union and its refusal to sanction the use of the city band in the July 4 parade. The commission ex- pressed itself as in favor of a parade, regardless of whether the band is or is. not allowed to participate. , .. The matter of lighting school property for night recreation use was tabled until July pending a reply ~rom the city attorney on ~e legality of spending city funds on school ~operty.
