<br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bogie.

<br />The minutes of the regular meeting of November 2'Sth.
<br />were read and a~proved. Also the minutes of the special
<br />meeting on December 9th. were read and approved.
<br />
<br />COMMUNICATIONS: None.

<br />OLD BUSINESS:
<br />
<br />Commissioner Ross inquired ~s to how the Commission
<br />could get money for acquisition of property to. which
<br />City M~ager Dlmitt responded, "only thru the City Co~cll,
<br />and the Commission acts only in an advisory capacity."
<br />
<br />The connni ttee made up of Commissioners', Alberson,
<br />Hagan, and Ross, to investigate property for. recreation-
<br />al purposes, had very little to report on but willido
<br />further investigating, especially of porperty adjoining
<br />Hawes Park and on Quartz Street.
<br />
<br />, Commissioner Britschgi asked the possibility of
<br />using the High School or Meltinley School grounds for
<br />baseball, installing lights.
<br />
<br />.
<br />
<br />City Manager Dimmitt pointed out that the City
<br />could not buy equipment to be installed on property
<br />that was not City property unless the equipment was
<br />removable.

<br />NEW BUSINESS:
<br />
<br />Director Morton reported that there are not
<br />enough berths at the Yacht Harbor and, the Se,a scouts
<br />of San Mateo and Burlingame as well as Redwood City
<br />have boats in berths with out paying the rental fee. ~
<br />It was suggested that San Mateo and Burlingame boats
<br />might moor in the s~ream and be allowed to use the
<br />ber~h for repairs. This did not seem advisable because
<br />of the Regatta held in Redwood Ci ty each yeR.r. Becs,use
<br />San Mateo is planning for a harbor it was suggested
<br />that the matter be dropped with the hopes that the boats
<br />would soon be moved to their harbor.

<br />are fishing at the Yacgt Harbor.

<br />MSC that the Commission recommend to the City
<br />Council that fishing be prohibited at the Yacht Harbor.
