<br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY PARK AND RECREATION 'COMMISSION <br />~dnesday, January 2,1952 <br /> <br />The meeting wa~ cal1e d to order by the Chairman William <br />Hanley at 7:58 p.m. Present were Commissioners Irving Gold, <br />Clement Baume, Donald Bogie, Andrew Spinas, Ralph Case, and <br />Recreation Director Alfred Morton. <br /> <br />Absent: ~1trs. Anna Bennett Robb, Jack Poole, and H.S. Stout. <br /> <br />~e minutes of the la9t regular meeting of November 6th, <br />1951 were approved. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF COMMITTEES: <br /> <br />1 -LiT':r,T L .. " LI ßI <br /> <br />C~issioner Irving Gold reported that his co~ittee thought <br />it would be well to have ~e City Co~cll C~ittee on Recreation. <br />meet with the Park and Recreation Commission on all future park <br />and playground facility development9. Mr. Gold wa9 referring to the <br />Snyder report which lays out a long range program and he 9tated <br />that the Coun~11 Committee had already agreed to meet with the <br />Recreation Committee on January 9th at the Recreation Center. <br /> <br />Commissioner Irving Gold stated he had contacted 'the <br />Planning Commi9sion members and they assured him. that the Park and <br />Recreation Co~~ission would have a map showing all city parks <br />and playgrounds. <br /> <br />Commi5sioner Gold stated that his committee has practically <br />completed the Snyder report and the balance of the report will <br />be completed on January 9th following the meeting with the <br />City ~ouncil Committee on Recreation. <br />.. <br /> <br />MSC by Commissioner! Spina! and Gold that the Recreation <br />Commission approve the request of Alfred Morton asking the City <br />Council to underwrite the Northern California Softball Finals <br />for the s~ of $100.00. <br /> <br />MSC by Comm!9!ioner.s Gold and Case that a reque st be made <br />to the City Manager for $50.00 to be appropriated from the <br />Recreation F'und to send Miss Sue Fredrickson, D1.rector of Girls' <br />and \Vomen' s Act! vi ties to the California Recreat.ian Conference to <br />be held at Fresno, California on February 19, 20,21, and 22, 1951. <br /> <br />MSC by Commissioners Gold and Spinas that the first Wednesday <br />of each month be declared the regular meeting of the Park and <br />Recreation C~1ss1on for the year 1952. ~e next regular <br />meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, February 6th at the City <br />He.ll Council Chambers. <br /> <br />- '."'.. <br />-- ,'" - . <br />- ' :.;, " : <br /> <br />~. . .'. -.' .. . . .
