CO~j~'TI SSI 01~ <br />REGULAR MEETING, APRIL 7,1954 <br /> <br />The regular Meeting of the Park and Recreation C~ission was called <br />to order by Chairman H. S. Stout at 7:51. Presellt: Catharine Brennan, <br />Elc'uise Calr.pbe 11, Irvi.ng Gold, Vincent Rambo, vVi lliam Hanley, Ralph <br />Case,. and Chairman H. S. Stout. <br /> <br />Commissioner Gold requested that a correction to the March meeting be <br />made. Pasco Balzarini and ~rving Gold presented Mr. Strauss at the <br />last meeting and Mr. Strauss did agree with the Commission that the <br />first project at 3tulsaft Park be the grubbing of the poison oak. <br /> <br />MSC by Comrrissioners Rambo and Brennan that the minutes be approved <br />as mailed with the above correction. <br /> <br />A letter from City Clerk Ralph Dodge to the Sterling developers <br />regarding the r1.gbt of way of Iietch lIetchy in which he stated that <br />the city is endeavoring to work out an agreement with the City and <br />Countv of San Francisco. . <br />t! <br /> <br />Vincent Rambo...sta tad that he is in favor of the ci ty having the project <br />of the Retch lietchy development and that no authorization should be <br />given to residents adjoining the right-of~way to be started if they <br />cannot be pulled out. <br /> <br />Irving Gold concurredvvi th rvlr. Rr..mbo. <br /> <br />William Hanley suggested that we ascertain what the projects might be <br />contemplated by the residents of the area. <br /> <br />Ralph Case stated that he would go along with Commissioner Rambo's <br />suggestions as long as they do not interfere with future planning. <br /> <br />Chairman Stout fe 1 t that i t was a Ii ttle pre-matu,re to grant permi ts <br />and until we 'know what they want there is nothing we can do. He felt <br />that we should contact Sterling Developers to see who the peoply may <br />be 'yho are making the requests. <br /> <br />,." <br /> <br />He instructed Commissioners ilanley and Park Supt. Balzarini to check <br />with the Sterling Developers. <br /> <br />MSC by Commissioners Hanley and Gold that the matter be put on the May <br />agenda. <br /> <br />'.""" <br /> <br />The request of Phil Dorst and \Villiam Gingher t'o build a concession <br />s tRnd at Iiavves Park met vvi th the approval of the Comm5. ssion. <br /> <br />MSC by Commissioners Hanley and Ra~bo tÌ1at both applications be <br />referred to the City CoD.ncil for action recommending that one of <br />the applicants be granted permission to erect a stand at Hawes Park <br />under the specifications of the city. <br /> <br />
