REDWOOD CITY PARK AND RECRBATION COMMiSSION REGULAR MEHTIUG, JULY 7, 19~4 The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was called to order by Chairman Irving Gold at 8:00 P. M. Present: Irving G:old, Louj-se Tornell, William Hanley, Catharine Brenrian, Alyn Beals, Park Supt. Pasco B81zarini, Recreation Director Alfred Morton, Recreation Supervisor Kay Sandas, Councilman Carl Britschßi and Mayor S. D. Herkner. Layton Agreement on the miniature train. A request was made for a longer lease on the property due to contemplated improvements which would include a electrical system, benches and fixing the area adjacent the train loca- tion. ~tSC by Commissioners Hanley 8,nd Brennan tha.t a letter be sent to , !~-r. rj~ cGovern s ta ting that the Commission feels that an agreement not to exceed one year should be granted. Letter from the Peninsula Celebration Assoc~ation to the Park and Recrea- tion Commission stating that they would graot the Recreation Department' $500.00 this ~ar for facility develo~nt providing a profit was made. Balzarini is to report back at the next meeting on this subject. City Mayor S. D. He~er arrived at the ~eting at 8:25 P.M. Commissioner William Hnnley presented a map from the Sterling Homes show- ing where fences were built on the right of way and he does not know what the status is at the present time. He feels that no rights for landscap- ing should be given to any of the residents of the area along the right of \vav. . .~ Park Supt. Balzarini reported that Joe' sprinkling system had been in- stalled on the right of way at Carson Street. C~ci~m Carl Brits~i ente~d t~ ~eting at 8:40.
