Green, Felice Stein, I,g;urel wan, Kitty <br />Chiu, George Granoff, Martin- Chajes, Carol Szäsu; - other audience <br />included Aurora Roselli, Bob Pierce__and Allan Weintraub <br /> <br />Chairman Schenck requested Miss Twietmeyer to introduce the GAP students. <br /> <br />~ti~n: Commissioner Rollins moved that the Jinutes of the January 9, 1974 <br />Regular Business Meeting be approved as mailed; seconded by Commissioner <br />Pound. The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />The San Mateo County~ Workshop was mentioned. Commissioners Weintraub, Pound, <br />Guida, - and Roll~ were interested in attending. Staff advised Commission they <br />would check on the possibility. of sending three or four Commissio~ers to the <br />Workshop . ~ <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM 1 - Presentation - Historical Preservation <br /> <br />~ I - 11!1..- r ... U L L- . W -_.-...dII ------.¡g - <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Gyselbrecht, Director of the Building Department, was introduced. He related <br />that he and Messrs. Pasich, Weeks, Vollmayer and Schroeter made up the staff <br />Historical Preservations Committee and have been working on same architectural form <br />of historical preservation to which the City ,:might respond. He ga-œ a slide <br />presentation which covered various architectural building designs in Redwood City. <br />The Canmittee had also contacted an architect in San Francisco, Ted Molton, who <br />has made a proposal to provide a first stage study regarding the direction Redwood City <br />might take. However,_.this ..proposal WaJJ not being pursued at the present¿ time because <br />the Committee first wanted to propose its ideas to more Boards and Commissions for their <br />related input. ~ <br /> <br />Discussion was held and Commissioners offered their comments and suggestions, along <br />with the G.A.P. (Government Activities Program) students. Mr. Gyselbrecht indicated <br />the Committee would get the study in some final format along with Mr. Molton's ~proposal <br />and would at that time bring it before the Commission again. Chairman Schenck thanked <br />Mr. GyselbreCht for coming and giiing his informative and interesting presentation. <br /> <br />
