<br /> <br /> <br />~ <br />$~14 <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> <br />DECEMBER 11,1974 <br /> <br />The regular business meeting of the Parks & Recreation Commission was called <br />to order by Chairperson Weintraub at 7:35 PM in Classroom Number 3 at the <br />Fair Oaks Community Center. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br /> <br />Commissioners Knecht, Pound, Rollins, Schenck (arrived <br />7:40 PM), Schlesinger, Weintraub, Wilson <br /> <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />STAFF PRESENT: <br /> <br />Director Max Weeks, Park Superintendent Pasco Balzarini, <br />Recreation Superintendent Bill Paulson, Park Foreman <br />Luis Hernandez, Staff Secretary Cheryl Pellicano <br /> <br />AUDIENCE PRESENT: <br /> <br />Ken Schroeter, Planning Department <br />Dave DuRee, 315 Oak Avenue #9, Redwood City <br />Tom Meyer, 2780 Kemsington Road, Redwood City <br />Monica Fia11a, 170 Opal Avenue, Redwood City <br />Eileen Harke, 2706 Sussex, Redwood City <br />Carol Forwe11, 1936 Goodwin Avenue, Redwood City <br />Matt Ronetta, 1324 Hudson Street, Redwood City <br />Chris Martinez, 2450 Hampton Avenue, Redwood City <br />Liane Moore, 1223 Hawes Street, Redwood City <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Rollins moved to accept the minutes of the November 13, <br />1974 regular business meeting as mailed, seconded by Commissioner <br />Wilson. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM 1 - Presentation - Citizen Particfpatíon in 1975 General Plan <br />Revision - Planning ~~yartment <br /> <br />Chairman Weintraub introduced Mr. Ken Schroeter of the Planning Department. <br />Mr. Schroeter indicated that he wanted to poll the Commission as to their <br />interest in the Citizens Involvement Portion of the General Plan Revision <br />Program in 1975. Mr. Schroeter mentioned that the program was a three phase <br />program with the first three months emphasizing citizen involvement, the <br />second three months would emphasize the Planning Commission's formulation of <br />a proposal, and the final three months would involve City Council review of <br />the proposal and, hopefull, adoption. The purpose for the citizen involvement <br />is to get as much input fram as many segments of the City and as many interests <br />in the City as possible. Questions were asked pertaining to when these com- <br />mittees would be meeting and Mr. Schroeter stated that this had not yet been <br />determined and indicated he suspected setting the meeting times would probably <br />be the biggest problem.
