<br />-- - - - u..- -- ---- ------ <br /> <br />- '" -. <br /> <br />64 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> <br />March 11,1975 <br /> <br />The regular business meeting of the Parks & Recreation Commission was called to order <br />by Chairperson Weintraub at 7 :30 p.m. in the Staff Conference Room at the Community --" <br />Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City. <br /> <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br /> <br />Commissioners Knecht, Pound, Rollins, Weintraub, Wilson and <br />Schenck (arrived 7:40 p.m.) <br /> <br /> <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: <br /> <br />Commissioners Schlesinger <br /> <br />STAFF PRESENT: <br /> <br />Director Max Weeks, Recreation Superintendent Paulson, Park <br />Superintendent Balzarini, Administrative Assistant Ferrando <br /> <br />GAP STUDENTS: <br /> <br />Chairperson Weintraub wè1comed the GAP students indicating that the meeting was a <br />public meeting and requested the students to contribute or ask questions as pertinent. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />MOTION: Commissioner Pound--correction to second page, end of third paragraph, <br />add "Commissioner Pound toured Stu1saft Park with Mr. Bosch and she was concerned <br />with some of the points that he brought out on the tour and on the presentation." <br /> <br />Commissioner Pound stated that Mr. Bosch telephoned her today and asked that she <br />make various corrections to the minutes of the February 11 meeting. After lengthy <br />discussion of the matter Chairperson Weintraub suggested voting on the motion on <br />the floor and if Mr. Bosch had any further questions he could feel free to call <br />her ot Mr. Weeks or make another appearance at the next commission meeting. <br /> <br />Chairperson Weintraub--correction page 4, Report Item 3, add to end of paragraph, <br />add, "Chairperson Weintraub suggested that the Committee might we111ook into the <br />possibility of funding through community service clubs". <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />San Mateo County Parks & Recreation Commission--requested two of their members be <br />placed on the mailing list for Agenda and Minutes. This will be done. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM 1 - Pr~~eptation and Discu!si9E - Covering for Bocci ~)j~çourts <br /> <br />Mr. Weeks stated that he has had sèvera1 discussions with representatives of the <br />Bocci Ball interests and related to them that the Community Park Committee and the <br />Commission had scheduled the covering of the bocci ball court for Phase III for <br />Community Park. He also pointed out the priorities and how various items are funde <br /> <br /> <br />
