BOX 391 <br />REDWOOD CITY, CA 94064 <br />PHONE: (415) 780-7300 <br />FAX: (415) 780-7225 <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />FOR <br /> <br />SALARIED CONTRACT APPOINTMENT <br /> <br />CONTRACTUAL EMPLOYEE <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~ay of -1:!J/('f-(tt , 1991-, by and <br />between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a muniCIpal corporation of the State of California, "City," and <br />Manuel Rosas, "Contract Employee." <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City requires certain personal services due to increased workloads; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contract Employee represents that he/she is qualified to furnish such services <br />in accordance with the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual terms, covenants and conditions contained <br />herein, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. Contract Appointments <br />Contract Employee is hereby appointed to the position of Public Works Superintendent/Customer <br />Support for City and as such shall perform the duties and services more particularly described in <br />Exhibit "A," attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> <br />2, Status <br />Contract Employee shall serve at the pleasure of the City Manager, subject to the terms and <br />conditions hereof, and shall not acquire a property interest in employment or a right to continuing <br />employment with the City of Redwood City. The terms, covenants and conditions of Contract <br />Employee's employment with the City are expressly limited by and to the terms, covenants and <br />conditions of this agreement. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Compensation <br />(a) Rate: Contract Employee shall be compensated for the performance of the above <br />described services at the rate of ($6,139.00) Dollars per month. Payment of such <br />compensation shall be made bi-weekly, Contract Employee shall be entitled to forty (40) <br />hours of "call back overtime" at the rate of straight time worked in excess of 40 hours per <br />work week, The forty hours shall be treated as administrative leave for the purposes of <br />utilization and payoff. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Benefits: <br /> <br />Contract Employee shall be entitled to the following benefits: <br /> <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
