DES:dit 7/1/92 (051/30) <br /> ORIGINAL 7/6/92 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 11783 <br /> RESOLUTION FINDING AND DECLARING THAT A WRITTEN <br /> MAJORITY PROTEST HAS BEEN MADE AGAINST THE LEVY OF <br /> ASSESSMENTS FOR DOWNTOWN BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA NO. <br /> 2 ; AND ORDERING TERMINATION OF PROCEEDINGS FOR THE LEVY <br /> OF SUCH ASSESSMENTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1992 - 1993 <br /> WHEREAS , pursuant to Resolution No. 11751 , adopted May 18 , <br /> 1992 , (the "Resolution of Intention") this Council declared its <br /> intention to levy and collect assessments within Downtown <br /> Business Area No. 2 (the "Area") for fiscal year July 1 , 1992 - <br /> June 30 , 1993 , as set forth in the report (the "Report" ) filed by <br /> the Redwood City Downtown Association, the advisory board for the <br /> Area, pursuant to the provisions of Streets and Highways Code <br /> Section 36533; and <br /> WHEREAS, Notice of Public Hearing on the question of levy of <br /> the proposed assessments within the Area for said fiscal year was <br /> duly given by the City Clerk and said hearing was held on June 8 , <br /> 1992 , at which time all written and oral protests to said levy <br /> were received and heard, and said public hearing was concluded; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reported to this Council the <br /> results of her examination of the written protests to the <br /> proposed levy of assessments; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> 1 . This Council does hereby find and declare that at the <br /> hearing on the question of the levy of assessments within the <br /> Area for fiscal year July 1 , 1992 - June 30 , 1993 , written <br />
