DES:djk lO/29/90 (035/28) O(~~L~l ~ ~Jj"~L NOV 0 5 '1~~U RES 0 L UTI 0 N ~ o. 1 1 4 a 9 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, CALIFORNIA TO ACT AS THE AGENT OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY PURSUANT TO SECTION 2.80 OF THE REDWOOD CITY CODE, FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) PUMPER TRUCK SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENT FOR PURCHASE OF SAID EQUIPMENT, AND FOR LEASE PURCHASE FINANCING THEREOF, AS DEEMED APPROPRIATE WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City desires to purchase one 1500 Gallon-per-Minute Triple Combination Pumper truck; and WHEREAS, Redwood City Code Section 2.80 provides that Redwood City may request any local agency to purchase equipment on behalf of the City provided that the bidding procedures of said local agency are substantially equivalent to those of Redwood City, that the equipment be purchased pursuant to those competitive bidding procedures, and meets other such requirements as are set forth in said Section 2.80; and WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has, following bidding procedures similar to those required by Article VII, commencing wi th Section 2.63 of the Redwood City Code, awarded a bid for purchase of several such pumper trucks, to Pierce Manufacturing, Inc., Appleton, Wisconsin; and WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is willing to act as the agent of the City of Redwood City for the purpose of purchasing one pumper truck pursuant to its purchasing procedures for said equipment; and WHEREAS, this Council desires to substitute the City of Alameda's bidding procedures for those of the City of Redwood Ci ty, to designate the City of Alameda as the City's agent for the purpose of purchasing the aforesaid pumper truck, and to
