DES:yc:1O/"J()/75 ORIGINAL 0 R DIN ~ ~ ~ ~ ----- N O. 1656 Nay 1 0 1975 ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 27 OF, AND ADDING CHAPTER 27 TO, THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE IMPOSITION OF FEES RELATING TO THE USE OF SANITARY SEWERAGE AND STORM WATER DRAINAGE FACILITIES THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Chapter 27, entitled "Sewers, Sewage Disposal and Drainage," and commencing at Section 27.1 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, California, is hereby repealed. Chapter 27 is hereby added to the Code of the SECTION 2. City of Redwood City, California, to read as follows: "Chapter 27. "SANITARY SEWERAGE AND STORM WATER DRAINAGE FACILITIES. "Article I. General. "Section 27.10. Purpose. The purpose of this chapter is to establish standards and conditions, and to provide for fees, relating to the use of sanitary. sewerage and storm water drainage facilities of, or within, the City. It is further the purpose of this chapter to establish uniform requirements for discharges into the wastewater collection and treatment system used jointly with other public entities as a party to the Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement estab- lishing and providing for the South Bayside System Authority, a public entity, and the predecessor thereof, the Joint Powers Authority for the Strategic Consolidation Sewerage Plan. It is further the purpose of this chapter to enable the City to comply with and meet applicable laws, regulations, standards and conditions established by Federal and State law, or by agencies thereof in implementation of such law.
