<br />DES:dft 9/25/90R (027/29) <br /> <br />ri.: ; ::~ ~ P} 1~ L <br />,-" ",,-,. di \ <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. 1. 1 ~ 9 ~ <br /> <br />OCT <br /> <br />1 1990 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF FIRST <br />AMENDMENT TO JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT <br />ESTABLISHING THE INTERCITY TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM <br />MANAGEMENT (TSM) AUTHORITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11050 adopted June 5, <br /> <br />1989, by this Council, the City of Redwood City executed that <br /> <br />certain agreement entitled "Joint Powers Agreement Establishing <br /> <br />the Intercity Transportation System Management (TSM) Authority" <br /> <br />(the "TSM Agreement"); <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />TSM <br /> <br />Agreement <br /> <br />implements <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />City's <br /> <br />Transportation System Management Program established pursuant to <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 1991, adopted April 3, 1989, by this Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the TSM Agreement was originally entered into by <br /> <br />and among the cities of Foster City, Redwood City, San Carlos, <br /> <br />and San Mateo, municipal corporations of the State of California, <br /> <br />pursuant to the Joint Exercise of Powers Act (Government Code <br /> <br />Section 6500 et. seg.); and <br />WHEREAS, Paragraph 15 of the TSM Agreement provides that <br /> <br />additional cities may become members of the Authority established <br /> <br />by the TSM Agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposal of the City of Burlingame, a municipal <br /> <br />corporation of the State of California, to become a member agency <br /> <br />has been approved by the Board of Directors of the Intercity <br /> <br />Transportation Management Authority, which Board, in turn, has <br /> <br />recommended to the member agencies of said Authority approval <br />
