REG:yc:5/11/64-7 <br />R E S O L U T I O N N 0. �_r.r.g a' <br />,. <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND <br />NECESSITY REQUIRE THE ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION BY <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, NAMELY <br />A PUBLIC ALLEY, IN AND UPON THAT CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY <br />HEREIN DESCRIBED; THAT THE ACQUISITION OF A RIGHT OF <br />WAY AND EASEMENT IN PROPERTY HEREIN DESCRIBED IS NECES- <br />SARY IN CONNECTION WITH SAID PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT; AUTHOR- <br />IZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO BRING AN ACTION IN EMINENT <br />DOMAIN TO ACQUIRE SAID REAL PROPERTY FOR SAID PUBLIC <br />IMPROVEMENT AND TO APPLY FOR AN ORDER OF IMMEDIATE <br />POSSESSION OF SAID REAL PROPERTY; AND, AUTHORIZING AND <br />DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO DEPOSIT MONEY IN COURT <br />FOR IMMEDIATE POSSESSION OF SAID REAL PROPERTY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />That it hereby finds and determines and declares: <br />That the public interest and necessity require the acquisi- <br />tion and construction by the City of Redwood City of a public <br />improvement, namely, a public alley, in and upon that certain <br />real property hereinafter described, to wit: <br />A public alley 20 feet in width from Second <br />Avenue to Annette Avenue, as shown on that <br />certain map entitled "Tract No. 509, Friendly <br />Acres Subdivision No. 2," filed in the office <br />of the County Recorder of San Mateo County, <br />California, in Book 21 of Maps, at pages 32 <br />to 34, on January 18, 1937; <br />That the acquisition by the City of Redwood City of a right <br />of way and easement for storm drainage purposes in and upon that <br />certain real property hereinafter described as Parcel No. 1 is <br />necessary in connection with, and as a part of, said public <br />improvement; <br />That said public improvement is the use to which said real <br />property is to be applied, and that said use is a public use <br />authorized by law. <br />That said public improvement is planned and located in the <br />manner which will be most compatible with the greatest public <br />good and the least private injury; <br />
