9/13/99 <br /> - ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO.. 13733 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF SPONSOR AGREEMENT WITH CALIFORNIA <br /> CONSERVATION CORPS AND AGREEMENT FOR THE <br /> RIPARIAN RESTORATION PROJECT PURSUANT THERETO <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Director of the California Conservation Corps is <br />authorized to execute contracts for the furnishing of services of the Corps to, <br />among other entities, local public agencies (Pub. Resources Code § 14306); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 67 of the Charter of the <br />City of Redwood City, a specific work or improvement may be performed by the <br />department authorized by this Council to execute such work or improvement <br />directly, based upon detailed estimates; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 6502, public entities <br />may jointly exercise any power common to them; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to and reviewed by this Council a <br />Sponsor Agreement between the California Conservation Corps and this City <br />pursuant to which discrete projects may, by addendum or sub-agreement with <br />said Corps, be performed; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has also been presented to and reviewed by this <br />Council, such addendum/sub-agreement pursuant to which that certain project <br />entitled "Riparian Restoration" shall be performed by the City under the above- <br />mentioned provisions of Section 67 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City <br />utilizing California Conservation Corps personnel; and <br /> <br /> Reso-740 <br /> F:~shared~edwood\Council <br /> DES:rg <br /> 09/01/99 <br /> <br /> <br />
