Article II (commencing at ~12.7) of Chapter 12 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. Article II (commencing at ~12.7) is hereby added to Chapter 12 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, to read as follows: "ARTICLE 11 FIRE PREVENTION CODE "Section 12.7 (a), Pursuant to Section 50022.1, et seq., of the California Government Code and Section 15 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, the 'Uniform Fire Code, 1973 Edition, ~ as published by the International Conference of Building Officials and the Western Fire Chiefs Association, is hereby adopted and shall be in effect within the City of Redwood City to the same extent as if set out in full herein, except as expressly amended by the pro- visions of this articleo "(b) In the event of any conflict between the pro- . visions of the Uniform Fire Code, 1973 Edition, hereinafter referred to as the 'Fire Code, I and the provisions of this a~ticle, the provisions of this article shall govern.
