<br />DES:yc:6/2/70 <br /> <br />F ina 1 <br /> <br />o R DIN A N C E <br /> <br />N o. /~"6 <br /> <br />.ORJG/ Nf~L <br /> <br />ORDINANCE At-mNDING SECl'ION 3.122 OF THE CODE OF THE ,jU' <br />CITY OF REm'lOOD CITY RELATING TO J'.1..z\XIMUM AREA OF <br />SIGNS IN NON-RESIDEN'I'IALLY ZONED DIS'fRICTS <br /> <br />i(} <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. <br /> <br />section 3.122 of the Code of the city of Redwood <br /> <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 3.122 <br /> <br />"(a) The aggregate area of all signs placed or main- <br /> <br />tained on any non-residentially zoned parcel of real property <br /> <br />in one ownership shall not exceed one and one-half square <br /> <br />feet of sign area for each lineal foot of lot frontage on <br /> <br />a pul)lic street i except that in IS Districts the maximum <br /> <br />allowable area shall be establi.shed by the terms of any <br /> <br />use permit issued. <br /> <br />"Notw'ithstanding the foregoing, every commercial <br /> <br />establishment having a distinct frontage on a public right <br /> <br />of way shall be pel.'1Uitted signs having an aggregate area <br /> <br />of at least 50 square feet. <br /> <br />"In the event a parcel of property lies -to the rear <br /> <br />of another parcel and has no direct frontage on a public <br /> <br />street, the width of such rear parcel shall be deemed to <br /> <br />be the same as the lot frontage of the front parcel. The <br /> <br />Vlidth of any access easement across the front parcel sllall <br /> <br />not be inclllded, for purposes of tJlis section, in cornput;ng <br /> <br />the lot front.age of either parcel. <br /> <br />'''rhe provisions of this subsection (a) shall not be <br /> <br />construed as permitting any individual sign to exceed the <br /> <br />area limita'tions othen..lise established by this article for <br /> <br />specific types of signs. <br />
