'- <br /> <br />JiJN 12 'fJ7 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE <br /> <br />N O. /a/(, <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 32~l2l, 32.122, 32.l23, <br />32.l49 AND 32.171 OF ARTICLE V OF CHAPTER 32 OF THE <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE <br />IMPOSITION OF LOCAL TAXES <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION l. section 32.l2l of Article V of Chapter 32 of <br /> <br />the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 32.l21 <br /> <br />Every application for an original <br /> <br />or renewal license shall be accompanied by a fee as follows: <br />"(a) In the case of a flat rate license tax, the <br /> <br />entire amount of the license tax due under this article <br /> <br />shall be paid. <br /> <br />"(b) In the case of a fee based upon the average <br /> <br />number of employees, number of vehicles, or other variable <br /> <br />basis, the applicant shall submit a statement of the average <br /> <br />number of employees, vehicles or other basis employed or <br /> <br />used by him in the business during the previous calendar <br /> <br />year, and shall pay a license tax based on that statement <br /> <br />as determined by the City Collector pursuant to the provisions <br /> <br />of this article." <br /> <br />SECTION 2. section 32.122 of Article V of Chapter 32 of <br /> <br />the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 32.122 <br /> <br />If the applicant for a license whose <br /> <br />tax is based upon the average number of employees, number <br /> <br />of vehicles, or other variable basis, has been in business <br /> <br />for less than a year at the time of applicanion, he shall <br /> <br />submit a statement estimating the number of employees, <br /> <br />vehicles or other basis estimated by him to be employed or <br />
