THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ESTABLISHING REQUIREMENTS FOR PRELIMINARY SOIL REPORTS ON AND SOIL INVESTIGATIONS OF PROPOSED SUBDIVISIONS IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Article VIII is hereby added to Chapter 30 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, to read as follows: "ARTICLE VIII. PRELIMINARY SOIL REPORTS "section 30.110 For every subdivision for which a tentative map is required to be submitted to the City for approval under Article II of this chapter, the tentative map shall be accompanied by a pre 1iminary soil report pre- pared by a civil engineer qualified in soils testing and analysis who is registered in the State of California and based upon adequate test borings or excavations as approved by the City Engineer. "For every subdivision submitted to the City for ap- prova1 under Article VII of this chapter, the map shall be accompanied by a preliminary soil report prepared by a civil engineer who is registered in the state of California and based upon adequate test borings or excavations as approved by the City Engineer unless either II (a) The subdivision consists solely of a resub- division of lands previously included within a subdivision of which a final map has been recorded, or II (b) The subdivision consists solely of a realignment of existing property lines not involving the creation of any new building site.
