<br />cES:djy 03/08/90 (042/26) <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />MAR 1 J 9 199(; <br />N Q.112-42 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST <br />REQUIRES AMENDMENT OF THE BOUNDARIES OF UNDERGROUND <br />UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 1986 - 1; PROVIDING A DESCRIPTION <br />OF SAID BOUNDARIES AS AMENDED; AND STATING THE TIME AND <br />PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 11, Article II, of the Redwood City Code <br /> <br />provides a procedure for amending the boundaries of underground <br /> <br />utili ty districts wi thin portions of the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager and the City Engineer of Redwood <br /> <br />Ci ty have reported to thi s Counci 1 and recommended that the <br /> <br />boundaries of Underground Utility District No. 1986-1 be amended <br /> <br />as hereinafter described; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed the proposal and <br /> <br />recommendations and has determined that the public interest and <br /> <br />convenience require the amendment of the boundaries of said <br /> <br />district; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City under California Public <br /> <br />Utili ties Commission rules, qualifies for reimbursements from <br /> <br />utility corporations for a portion of the costs incurred by the <br /> <br />City for undergrounding overhead utilities in said district; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Any utility that relocates its utilities underground <br /> <br />shall use the underground conversion allocation computed pursuant <br /> <br />to decisions of the Public Utilities Commission of the State of <br /> <br />California for the purpose of providing to each premises in <br />
