<br />DAS:mma_9/6/88 (#23/0l8) <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />1 0.898 <br /> <br />SEP 1 2 1988 <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RELIEVING APPARENT LOWEST BIDDER FROM <br />CONTRACT OBLIGATIONS FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL MODIFICATIONS <br />AT MAIN STREET/MIDDLEFIELD ROAD, AND AT BREWSTER <br />AVENUE/VETERANS BOULEVARD; DECLARING LOWEST RESPONSIBLE <br />BIDDER THEREFOR AND ACCEPTING BID THEREOF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10837 adopted by the City <br />Council of the City of Redwood City on July 25, 1988, the City <br /> <br />Clerk called for bids for traffic signal modifications at Main <br /> <br />Street/Middlefield <br /> <br />Road, <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />at <br /> <br />Brewster <br /> <br />Avenue/Veterans <br /> <br />Boulevard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, five bids were received for <br /> <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Coast Electric Company, Redwood City, Calfiornia, is <br /> <br />the apparent lowest responsible bidder; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said apparent lowest bidder has requested to be <br /> <br />relieved of its obligations under the contract for said traffic <br /> <br />signal modifications; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this council is willing to relieve said apparent <br /> <br />lowest bidder of said obligations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bidder for said repairs is <br /> <br />Rosedin Electric Inc., of San Jose, California, and it is the <br /> <br />intention and the desire of this Council to accept the bid <br /> <br />submitted by said company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1 0 898 <br />
