<br />SWC: d j k 8/10/87 ( # 21 ) <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 1 0577 <br /> <br />AUG 10 1987 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION GRANTING A CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE <br />AND NECESSITY TO RAYMOND SHANAHAN AND KEN ROHRBACH AS <br />NEW OWNERS OF MENLO PARK CAB COMPANY; DECLARING THAT <br />PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE ADDITIONAL <br />TAXICAB SERVICE; AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO ISSUE <br />ADDITIONAL TAXICAB PERMITS PURSUANT TO SAID CERTIFICATE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Raymond Shanahan and Ken Rohrbach, new owners of <br /> <br />Menlo Park Cab Company, which company has heretofore operated <br /> <br />taxicabs in the City of Redwood City under the ownership of Twyla <br /> <br />Bonham, have filed with this Council an application for a <br /> <br />certificate of public convenience and necessity for the purpose <br /> <br />of operating taxicabs in the City of Redwood City, under the <br /> <br />fictitious business name "Menlo Park Cab Company"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 9468, adopted November <br /> <br />7, 1983, the Menlo Park Cab Company has been operating 3 taxicabs <br /> <br />within the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the new owners of Menlo Park Cab Company have <br /> <br />requested that they be able to operate 3 additional taxicabs, for <br /> <br />a total number of 6 permitted taxicabs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 33 of the Redwood City Code, <br /> <br />this Council, after duly noticed public hearing, and upon <br /> <br />consideration of the aforesaid application, and upon public <br /> <br />testimony having been presented therefor, finds that the public <br /> <br />convenience and necessity will be served by granting a <br /> <br />certificate to Raymond Shanahan and Ken Rohrbach to operate 6 <br /> <br />taxicabs; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />I0577 <br />
