<br />DAS:sn 3/12/87 (#19) ORIGINAL <br />MAR 1 6 1987 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />10456 <br />N o. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR MAIN LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION <br />PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11412, adopted by the <br /> <br />City Council of the City of Redwood City on January 26, 1987, the <br /> <br />Ci ty Clerk called for bids for the main library construction <br /> <br />project ("Project)"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ralph Larsen and Son, Inc., Burlingame, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and <br /> <br />desire of this Council to award said bid to Ralph Larsen and Son, <br /> <br />Inc. ; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Ralph Larsen and Son, Inc. in the sums <br /> <br />(computed in accordance with said bidder's Proposal dated March <br /> <br />3, 1987 for Project) of Five Million Two Hundred Seventy-seven <br /> <br />Thousand Nine Hundred and No/Dollars ($5,277,900.00) for all <br /> <br />Project work except Alternative Bid No. 1 work, Four Hundred <br /> <br />Thirty Thousand and No/Dollars ($430,000.00) for all Alternative <br /> <br />Bid No. 1 work (removal of an existing culvert channel on the <br /> <br />site and construction of a new box culvert with grading and <br /> <br />landscaping) if commenced within ninety (90) days from Notice to <br /> <br />Proceed, and Four Hundred Sixty-two Thousand and No/Dollars <br /> <br />($462,000.00) for all Alternative Bid No. 1 work if commenced <br /> <br />10456 <br />
