<br />T)AS: sh <br />AS:sh <br /> <br />8/14/86 <br />8/18/86R <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10302 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />AUG 1 8 1986 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONDEMNING PORTION OF BUILDING AT 1006 ARGUELLO <br />STREET AS A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND DIRECTING RECONSTRUCTION OR <br />REMOVAL THEREOF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Department of this City has determined <br /> <br />that a portion of the dwelling unit which is located at 1006 <br /> <br />Arguello Street is a public nuisance as defined by Section 9.5 of <br /> <br />the Redwood City Code because such portion of the building has <br /> <br />become manifestly unsafe for the purpose for which it is being <br /> <br />used; the building exists and is maintained in violation of <br /> <br />specific requirements and prohibitions applicable to such <br /> <br />building regulations of the City; the building, because of faulty <br /> <br />construction and has been determined to be unsafe, and in <br /> <br />violation of City of Redwood City Building Code and Zoning <br /> <br />Ordinance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Department has given notice to the <br /> <br />owners of the building at 1006 Arguello Street, as evidenced by <br /> <br />Exhibit A, to appear before this City Council to show cause, if <br /> <br />any, why the third floor of such building should not be declared <br /> <br />to be a public nuisance and abated in accordance with the <br /> <br />provisions of Chapter 9 of the Redwood City Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received extensive evidence that <br /> <br />the third floor of the building at 1006 Arguello Street has <br /> <br />Building Code and Zoning Ordinance violations; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />l030~ <br />
