DAS: sh 7/30/86 ORIGINAL AUG 4 1986 RES 0 L UTI 0 N !i Q. 1 0 2 80 RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO THE DESIGNATION OF PORTIONS OF JEFFERSON AVENUE BETWEEN CALIFORNIA WAY AND VISTA WAY WITHIN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS A COUNTY HIGHWAY; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO RELATING TO FUNDING RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF ROAD RESURFACING ON JEFFERSON AVENUE WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is authorized pursuant to Sections 1800 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code to lay out, acquire and construct any section or portion of any street or highway within the territorial jurisdiction of the City; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo have, pursuant to Sections 1700 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code, declared, (subject to the consent of the City of Redwood Ci ty) , that portions of Jefferson Avenue between California Way and Vista Way, situate within the territory of the City of Redwood City, (as more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and by this reference incorporated herein as if set out in full herein), to be a county highway of the County of San Mateo for the purposes of road resurfacing improvements; and WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that those portions of Jefferson Avenue between California Way and Vista Way described in Exhibit "A", be declared and established as a county highway of the County of San Mateo for the purposes of road resurfacing improvements; and WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo is willing to implement the abovementioned improvements by entering into an agreement with 10280
