DAS:sh 8/01/86 RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. 10266 ORIG I NAL AUG 4 1986 RESOLUTION CONDEMNING BUILDING AT 1911 ALAMEDA DE LAS PULGAS AS A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND DIRECTING RECONSTRUCTION OR REMOVAL THEREOF WHEREAS, the Building Department of this City has determined that the dwelling unit which is located at 1911 Alameda de las Pulgas is a public nuisance as defined by Section 9.5 of the Redwood City Code because the building has become manifestly unsafe for the purpose for which it is being used; the building exists and is maintained in violation of specific requirements and prohibitions applicable to such building regulations of the City; the building, because of inadequate maintenance, dilapidation, decay, damage, inadequate light, air, and sanitation facilities, has been determined to be unfit for human habitation and is unsanitary; and WHEREAS, the Building Department has given notice to the owners of the building at 1911 Alameda de las pulgas, as evidenced by Exhibit "A", to appear before this City Council to show cause, if any, why such building should not be declared to be a public nuisance and abated in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9 of the Redwood City Code; and WHEREAS, this Council has received extensive evidence that the building at 1911 Alameda de las Pulgas has become dilapidated and has numerous Housing, Fire, State Health and other code violations; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 10266
