<br />C:WC: sh <br />lC : sh <br /> <br />3/21/86 <br />8/04/86R <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 1 0 264 <br /> <br />AUG 4. 1986 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONDEMNING BUILDINGS AT 86 AND 90 CENTRAL AVENUE <br />AS A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND DIRECTING RECONSTRUCTION OR REMOVAL <br />THEREOF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Department of this City has determined <br />that the duplex dwelling unit and garage which are located at <br /> <br />86 and 90 Central Avenue constitute a public nuisance as defined <br /> <br />by Section 9.5 of the Redwood City Code because the buildings <br /> <br />exist and are maintained in violation of specific requirements <br /> <br />and prohibitions applicable to building regulations of the City; <br /> <br />the buildings, because of inadequate maintenance, dilapidation, <br /> <br />decay, damage, and faulty construction, have been determined to <br /> <br />be unfit for human habitation and are unsanitary; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Department has given notice to the <br /> <br />owners of the buildings at 86 and 90 Central Avenue, as evidenced <br /> <br />by the attached "Exhibit A", to appear before this City Council <br /> <br />to show cause, if any, why such buildings should not be declared <br /> <br />to be a public nuisance and abated in accordance with the <br /> <br />provisions of Chapter 9 of the Redwood City Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received extensive evidence that <br /> <br />the building at 86 and 90 Central Avenue have become dilapidated <br /> <br />and has numerous code violations; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />10264 <br />
