<br />SWC:djc 3/20/86 <br /> <br />10220 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />JUN 2 1986 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONDEMNING BUILDING AT 816 WALNUT STREET AS A <br />PUBLIC NUISANCE AND DIRECTING RECONSTRUCTION OR REMOVAL <br />THEREOF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Department of this City has determined <br /> <br />that the dwe~ling unit which is located at 816 Walnut Street is a <br /> <br />public nuisance as defined by Section 9.5 of the Redwood City <br /> <br />Code because the building and its premises are extremely <br /> <br />dilapidated and in hazardous condition; the lack of proper <br /> <br />foundation, weather protection, decay, accumulation of debris, <br /> <br />and inadequate maintenance have resulted in hazardous living <br /> <br />condi tions; and it has been determined to be unfit for human <br /> <br />habitation and is unsanitary; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Department has given notice to the <br /> <br />owners of the building at 816 Walnut Street, as evidenced by the <br /> <br />attached "Exhibit A", to appear before this City Council to show <br /> <br />cause, if any, why such building should not be declared to be a <br /> <br />public nuisance and abated in accordance with the provisions of <br /> <br />Chapter 9 of the Redwood City Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received extensive evidence that <br /> <br />the building at 816 Walnut Street has become dilapidated and has <br /> <br />numerous code violations; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />10220 <br />
