<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />SWC:sh <br />SWC:sh <br />SWC: sh <br />SWC:sh <br /> <br />10176 <br /> <br />4/4/86 <br />4/7/86R <br />4/7/86RR <br />4/7/86RRR <br />OR1GfNft1' <br /> <br />APR 7 1986 <br /> <br />N o. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR REDWOOD CITY FIRE STATION <br />NO. 1 CONSTRUCTION PROJECT; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS <br />RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />WORK; DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS; AND MAKING <br />CERTAIN FINDINGS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10145, adopted February <br /> <br />24, 1986 the City Clerk called for bids for the Redwood City Fire <br /> <br />Station No. 1 Construction Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Arthur Bros., Inc., San Mateo, California, is the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of <br /> <br />this Council to award bid to said Arthur Bros., Inc.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on January 7, 1986, the Planning Commission <br /> <br />certified the Environmental Impact Report No. EA 10917-5 ("EIR"), <br /> <br />as adequate and sufficient; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the EIR found that several identified impacts, <br /> <br />namely: noise, loss of trees and safety of those using the <br /> <br />Bradford Street Parking Lot at night, can all be mitigated to <br /> <br />acceptable levels, but that the loss of parking spaces remained a <br /> <br />significant impact; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at the hearing for the appeal by James and Shiela <br /> <br />Ortloff of J&S Management, on the EIR certification, this <br /> <br />Council, in a negotiated settlement of the issue upon appeal, and <br /> <br />with the consent of the appellants, agreed to implement a further <br /> <br />mitigation measure to reduce the impacts upon parking caused by <br /> <br />the Project, viz., to provide that no more than twenty parking <br /> <br />spaces in the Bradford Parking Lot be used by the City of Redwood <br /> <br />10176 <br />
