<br />C".7C:sh 3/20/86 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10166 <br /> <br />ORIGI NAL <br />MAR 2 4. 1986 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONDEMNING BUILDINGS AT 2313 MIDDLEFIELD ROAD AS <br />A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND DIRECTING RECONSTRUCTION OR REMOVAL <br />THEREOF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Department of this City has determined <br /> <br />that the dwelling unit and garage which are located at 2313 <br /> <br />Middlefield Road constitute a public nuisance as defined by <br /> <br />Section 9.5 of the Redwood City Code because the buildings have <br /> <br />become manifestly unsafe for the purpose for which they are being <br /> <br />used; the dwelling unit exists and is maintained in violation of <br /> <br />specific requirements and prohibitions applicable to such <br /> <br />building regulations of the City; the building, because of <br /> <br />lack of foundation, weather protection, decay, accumulation of <br /> <br />debris and inadequate maintenance, has been determined to be <br /> <br />unfit for human habitation and is unsanitary and the garage <br /> <br />likewise is in an extremely hazardous structural condition; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Department has given notice to the <br /> <br />owner of the buildings at 2313 Middlefield Road, as evidenced by <br /> <br />the attached "Exhibit A", to appear before this City Council to <br /> <br />show cause, if any, why such buildings should not be declared to <br /> <br />be a public nuisance and abated in accordance with the provisions <br /> <br />of Chapter 9 of the Redwood City Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received extensive evidence that <br /> <br />the buildings at 2313 Middlefield Road have become dilapidated <br /> <br />and have numerous Housing, Fire and other code violations; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />10166 <br />
