<br />pT'I7C: sh 3/20/86 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />MAR 2 4 1986 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10164 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONDEMNING BUILDING AT 804 WALNUT STREET - 805 <br />MAIN STREET AS A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND DIRECTING <br />RECONSTRUCTION OR REMOVAL THEREOF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Department of this City has determined <br /> <br />that the vacant warehouse which is located at 804 Walnut Street - <br /> <br />805 Main Street is a public nuisance as defined by Section 9.5 of <br /> <br />the Redwood City Code because the building, which has been vacant <br /> <br />for years, exists in a hazardous condition and is a potential <br /> <br />attactive nuisance to children, and vagrants, and is unfil for <br /> <br />human habitation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Department has given notice to the <br /> <br />owners of the building at 804 Walnut Street - 805 Main Street, as <br /> <br />evidenced by the attached "Exhibit A", to appear before this City <br /> <br />Council to show cause, if any, why such building should not be <br /> <br />declared to be a public nuisance and abated in accordance with <br /> <br />the provisions of Chapter 9 of the Redwood City Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received extensive evidence that <br /> <br />the building at 804 Walnut Street - 805 Main Street has become <br /> <br />dilapidated and has numerous code violations; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The building at 804 Walnut Street - 805 Main Street is <br /> <br />determined to be a public nuisance because such building is a <br /> <br />potential attractive nuisance to children and a harbor to <br /> <br />10164 <br />
