<br />C~C:djc 2/21/86 <br /> <br />ORIGI NAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10146 <br /> <br />FEB 2 4 1986 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF LADDER TRUCK THROUGH THE <br />CITY OF SAN FRANCISCO; AND AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE AGREEMENT . FOR PURCHASE OF SAID EQUIPMENT, AND FOR <br />LEASE PURCHASE FINANCING THEREOF, AS DEEMED APPROPRIATE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City desires to purchase a 100 <br /> <br />ft. tractor-trailer type aerial ladder truck for maneuverability <br /> <br />through the narrow streets wi thin new planned developments in <br /> <br />Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Francisco has, following bidding <br /> <br />procedures similar to those required by Article VII, commencing <br /> <br />wi th Section 2.63 of the Redwood City Code, awarded a bid for <br /> <br />purchase of several such ladder trucks, to Steeldraulic Products, <br /> <br />Inc., Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Francisco is willing to act as the <br /> <br />agent of the City of Redwood City for the purpose of purchasing a <br /> <br />ladder truck through the San Francisco purchase order for said <br /> <br />equipment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to substitute the City of San <br /> <br />Francisco's bidding procedures for those of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City, to designate the City of San Francisco as the City's agent <br /> <br />for the purpose of purchasing the aforesaid ladder truck, and to <br /> <br />authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement for the <br /> <br />purchase of said equipment from Steeldraulic Products, Inc.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council further desires to finance the <br /> <br />purchase of said equipment through means of a lease-purchase <br /> <br />10146 <br />
