<br />16-014 <br /> <br />WMAM'~SD:els 04/12/85 20c <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9 8 5 9 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />APR 22 1985 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE FORMATION OF SEAPORT CENTRE <br />MAINTENANCE DISTRICT, AND ORDERING THAT THE ALTERNATIVE <br />METHOD FOR THE LEVY OF BENEFIT ASSESSMENTS BE MADE <br />APPLICABLE TO SAID MAINTENANCE DISTRICT <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, <br />California, that <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 1895, <br />adopted bv this Council on April 16, 1984, and the applicable <br />provisions of Chapter 26, Part 3, Division 7 of the Streets and <br />Highways Code of the State of California, said Council did on March 4, <br />1985, adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 98lS to Form the Seaport <br />Centre Maintenance District and to Provide for the Use of the <br />Alternative Method for the Levy of Benefit Assessments; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Council did declare in said Resolution its <br />intention to order the formation of a maintenance district in a portion <br />of the City to be known as "Seaport Centre Maintenance District" <br />(herein the District), and to order that the amount necessary to pay <br />the costs and expenses of the maintenance and operation of the public <br />improvements therein described be raised by an annual special benefit <br />assessment apportioned according to benefits among the several lots or <br />parcels of property within the District in accordance with the formula <br />therefor more particularly set forth in said Resolution of Intention <br />and in accordance with and pursuant to the provisions for the <br />alternative method for the levy of benefit assessments in maintenance <br />districts in said City as provided in said Ordinance No. 1895; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, notice of hearing any and all protests in relation to <br />the formation of the District, the extent thereof, the method and <br />formula for the levy of benefit assessments, or other matters specified <br />in Resolution No. 9815 was given by causing a coPy of a Notice of <br />Hearing to be duly posted, published and mailed in the time, form and <br />manner provided by said Ordinance No. 1895, all as more particularly <br />appears from the certificates and affidavits thereof on file in the <br />office of the City Clerk; whereupon the hearing thereon was duly and <br />regularly held at the time and place advertised in said Notice of <br />Hearing and said Resolution of Intention; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, no written protests of any kind were filed with the <br />City Clerk of this City at or before the time set for hearing, or <br />during the hearing, and no persons appeared, desiring to be heard in <br />opposition to the formation of the maintenance district, the extent <br />thereof, or the method and formula fixed for the levy of benefit <br />assessments, or other matters concerning the same; <br /> <br />9859 <br />
