<br />DCB:sh 8/23/84 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9681 <br /> <br />ORtGINAL <br />AUG 2 7 1984 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTIONS 9 AND 10 OF RULE X OF THE <br />PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY RELATING TO TEMPORARY AND CASUAL APPOINTMENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Personnel Rules and Regulations of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City allow Casual Appointments to work one thousand forty <br /> <br />(1040) hours in any twelve (12) month period and one hundred <br /> <br />eighty (180) days in any twelve (12) month period; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Public <br /> <br />Employees' <br /> <br />Retirement <br /> <br />System <br /> <br />(PERS) <br /> <br />regulations <br /> <br />specify <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />maximum period <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />Casual <br /> <br />Appointment is one thousand (1000) hours per fiscal year and one <br /> <br />hundred twenty-five (125) days per fiscal year for Temporary <br /> <br />Appointments; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Human Services has recommended to <br /> <br />this Council that Rule X, Sections 9 and 10 of the City's <br /> <br />Personnel Rules and Regulations should be amended to conform with <br /> <br />PERS regulations; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Section 9 and 10 of Rule X of the Personnel Rules and <br /> <br />Regulations of the City of Redwood City are hereby amended to <br /> <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 9.
