<br />DCB:sh <br /> <br />8/15/84 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />!i Q.-9JiLO <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />AUG 2 7 1984 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONDEMNING THE BUILDING AT 281 OAK AVENUE AS <br />A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND DIRECTING RECONSTRUCTION OR <br />REMOVAL THEREOF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Department of this City has <br /> <br />determined that the building which is located at 281 Oak Avenue is <br /> <br />a public nuisance as defined by Sections 9.5 of the Redwood City <br /> <br />Code because the building has become manifestly unsafe for the <br /> <br />purpose for which is was being used; the building exists and is <br /> <br />maintained in violation of specific requirements and prohibitions <br /> <br />applicable to such building regulations of the City; the building <br /> <br />is used for or intended to be used for dwelling purposes, because <br /> <br />of inadequate maintenance, dilapidation, decay, damage, faulty <br /> <br />construction, inadequate light, air, or sanitation facilities or <br /> <br />otherwise, has been determined to be unfit for human habitation <br /> <br />and/or is unsanitary; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Department has given notice to the <br /> <br />owner of the building at 281 Oak Avenue, as evidenced by Exhibit <br /> <br />A, to appear before this City council to show cause, if any, why <br /> <br />such building should not be declared to be a public nuisance and <br /> <br />abated in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9 of the <br /> <br />Redwood City Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received extensive evidence <br /> <br />that the building at 281 Oak Avenue has become dilapidated and has <br /> <br />numerous fire code, housing code, zoning ordinance, and health and <br /> <br />safety code violations; <br /> <br />9670 <br />
