3/2/98 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13294 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR THE ACQUISITION OF VACANT LAND <br /> AT 201 MCEVOY STREET FOR LOW INCOME REDWOOD CITY <br /> RESIDENTS <br /> <br />(PENINSULA HABITAT FOR HUMANITY LAND ACQUISITION) <br />WHEREAS, Peninsula Habitat for Humanity of Menlo Park ("Contractor") <br />intends to purchase a vacant parcel at 201 McEvoy Street and build a house for <br />a Iow and moderate income households who are residents in the City of <br />Redwood City (the "Program"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has received financial assistance from the City of <br />Redwood City in order to acquire the vacant land located at 201 McEvoy Street <br />in the city limits of Redwood City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and <br />desires to allocate to Contractor, the sum of One Hundred Thousand and <br />No/100 Dollars ($100,000)from its Community Development Block Grant funds <br />for the foregoing purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented <br />to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the agreement with Contractor provides that the dwelling be <br />exclusively available to Iow income Redwood City residents residing in the city <br />limits; and <br /> <br /> 13294 <br /> <br /> <br />
