3/2/98 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13293 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE SALE OF LAND <br /> CONSISTING OF APPROXIMATELY 6,500 SQUARE FEET FOR <br /> OCCUPANCY BY LOW OR VERY LOW INCOME FAMILY; <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF OPTION TO PURCHASE <br /> AGREEMENT FOR SAID SALE OF LAND; AND AUTHORIZING <br /> EXECUTION OF GRANT DEED UPON EXERCISE OF OPTION <br /> TO PURCHASE LAND <br /> <br />(PENINSULA HABITAT FOR HUMANITY BID AWARD) <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 13244 adopted November 3, 1997, <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the sale of the property generally described <br />as 201 McEvoy Street, Redwood City (the "Property") and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, one bid was received for the <br />purchase of the Property and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Peninsula Habitat for Humanity is the only responsible bidder <br />and it is the intention and desire of this Council to accept the bid of said bidder; <br />now, therefore; let it be resolved by the Council of Redwood City as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. The Bid of Peninsula Habitat for Humanity, in the amount of $131,000 <br />and no/100 ($131,000) computed in accordance with said bidder's proposal. <br />dated November 26, 1997, for the purchase of the property generally known as <br />201 McEvoy Street, Redwood City, is hereby accepted. <br /> <br /> 2. That certain agreement entitled, "prOposal'' (form dated 10/28/97) <br />executed by Peninsula Habitat for Humanity and received by the City Clerk on <br />November 26, 1997, a copy of which Proposal is on file in the office of the City <br />Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof is <br />hereby approved. <br /> <br /> 13293 <br /> <br /> <br />
