<br />DES:djg-c 3/23/84 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />APR 2 1984 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9549 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF FEES FOR SPECIALIZED LEGAL SERVICES <br />PERTAINING TO MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENT DISTRICTS <br /> <br />(SEAPORT CENTRE PROJECT) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Seaport Centre Venture, <br /> <br />a California general <br /> <br />partnership, is the developer of certain lands located in the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City, California, bordered in part by tidal water- <br /> <br />ways; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in connection with governmental approvals of said <br /> <br />development, including subdivision thereof under the City's <br /> <br />Subdivision <br /> <br />Ordinance, <br /> <br />levees <br /> <br />protecting <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />lands <br /> <br />from <br /> <br />inundation are required to be maintained and repaired by the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said levees and the maintenance and repair thereof <br /> <br />benefit the aforesaid privately-owned land; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary that funding for the maintenance <br /> <br />and repair of said levees be provided through an assessment <br /> <br />procedure; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, specialized legal services are required to provide <br /> <br />for the establishment and implementation of a maintenance <br /> <br />assessment district providing for such funding; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, fees, costs and expenses of such services, which <br /> <br />benefit the privately-owned lands aforesaid, shall be reimbursed <br /> <br />by Seaport Centre Venture; and <br /> <br />9549 <br />
