0 R I G I N A L 1,,/6/97 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13215 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXEOUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT PROVIDING EXTENSION OF TIME FOR <br /> ARBITRATION PROCEEDINGS UNDER SETTLEMENT AND <br /> MASTER WATER SALES CONTRACT WITH THE CITY AND <br /> COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 9579 adopted May 14, 1984, the <br />City of Redwood City entered into a water supply contract (the "Water Supply <br />Contract") dated August 16, 1984, with the City and County of San Francisco <br />("San Francisco"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Water Supply Contract incorporates by reference that <br />certain Settlement Agreement and Master Water Sales Contract (the "Master <br />Agreement"), setting forth the terms and conditions under which San Francisco <br />continues to furnish water for domestic and other municipal purposes to the City <br />of Redwood City as one of the "Suburban Purchasers" under the Master <br />Agreement; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, under the Master Agreement the Suburban Purchasers select <br />five Suburban Representatives to act on their behalf with respect to certain <br />administrative and implementative provisions of the Master Agreement; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is one of the five Suburban <br />Representatives serving in that capacity for 1997; and <br />WHEREAS, a dispute exists between San Francisco and the Suburban <br /> <br />Purchasers as to the proper amount of the Suburban Revenue Requirement for <br />Reso-309 <br />G:~shared~'edwood~council <br />DES:rg <br />10/01/97 <br /> <br /> <br />
