0 R I G I N A L 6/23/97 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13108 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION REQUESTING BOARD OF TRUSTEES, <br /> REDWOOD CITY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT, TO <br /> CONSOLIDATE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICT ELECTION <br /> TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 4, 1997 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 4 of the Charter of the <br />City of Redwood City and Ordinance No. 2078, adopted April 11, 1994, General <br />Municipal Elections of the City of Redwood City shall be held in said City on the <br />same day as School District Elections, to wit: the first Tuesday after the first <br />Monday in November of each odd-numbered year, commencing with said <br />election in November 1995; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Elections Code Section 10400, <br />elections called to be held on the same day and wholly or partly within the same <br />territory, may be consolidated upon the order of the governing body or bodies <br />calling the elections; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to consolidate the aforesaid General <br />Municipal Election with the School District Election to be held on the same date <br />by the Redwood City Elementary School District; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 10402 of the Elections <br />Code, the governing body of the jurisdiction that receives a request for <br />consolidation may order said consolidation and, therefore, this Council desires <br /> <br /> Reso-223 1 <br /> G:~shared~'edwood~council <br /> FXS:rg <br /> 06/16/97 <br /> <br /> <br />
