0 R I G I N A L 4/21/97 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13054 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF DOCUMENTS <br /> NECESSARY AND APPROPRIATE FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF <br /> SUPPLEMENTAL FUNDING FOR JEFFERSON AVENUE <br /> UNDERPASS PROJECT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12199, adopted by this Council <br />on June 6, 1994, the City of Redwood City and the San Mateo County <br />Transportation Authority (the "Authority") entered into an agreement entitled, <br />"Grade Separation Development Agreement," pursuant to which the City will <br />construct a railroad grade separation commonly referred to as the "Jefferson <br />Avenue Underpass Project" (the "Project") funded, in part, by revenues <br />(sometimes referred to as "Measure A Funds") allocated by the Authority <br />pursuant to the County Transportation Expenditure Plan adopted in accordance <br />with the Bay Area Traffic and Transportation Funding Act (Pub. Util. Code § <br />31100, et seq.); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said Agreement, the Authority allocated, as a <br />maximum contribution, $5.5 million Measure A Funds for the Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, original cost estimates and projections for the Project are no <br />longer accurate and the allocation of funds provided pursuant to the Agreement <br />is now insufficient for the Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has requested the Authority, pursuant to <br />Resolution adopted concurrently herewith, to allocate, on a priority basis, <br />additional Measure A Funds to supplement those heretofore allocated and <br /> <br />Reso-179 <br />G~hared~Redwood~Council <br />DES:rg <br />04/16/97 <br /> <br /> <br />
