0 R I G I N A L 1/27/97 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12991 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY DESIGNATING REDEVELOPMENT SURVEY AREA AND <br /> DIRECTING THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO SELECT <br /> BOUNDARIES OF THE AREA TO BE ADDED TO, AND TO <br /> FORMULATE A PRELIMINARY PLAN AMENDMENT FOR THE <br /> REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT NO. 2 AND RESCINDING <br /> CERTAIN ACTIONS PERTAINING TO FORMATION OF STATE <br /> HIGHWAY 101 CORRIDOR PROJECT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1862, this Council approved the <br />Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project No. 2 ("Plan"), which Plan was <br />amended by Ordinance No. 1911 and was further amended by Ordinance No. <br />2007 and Ordinance No. 2085; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 33450 of the Health and Safety Code grants authority <br />to a legislative body to amend a redevelopment plan upon recommendation of <br />the redevelopment agency, which amendment or modification may include a <br />change in the boundaries of the project area to add land to the project area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in the exercise of this authority, this Council finds that it may <br />be necessary and desirable to amend the Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the legislative body has the authority to designate an area <br />within a city as a survey area for the purpose of studying said area to determine <br />if a redevelopment project or projects within said area is or are feasible; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to consider amendment of the Plan, this Council <br />desires to designate as the "1997 Redevelopment Survey Area" that area now <br />comprising the territory within the existing Redevelopment Project No. 2 <br />("Existing Project Area"), as augmented by the "Added Survey Area," as both are <br /> <br />Reso-126 <br />G:~shared~Red~l~Council <br />AK:djk <br />01/~1/97 <br /> <br /> <br />
