O R I G I N A L 10/7/96 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12929 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR PREPARATION OF AN INITIAL STUDY <br /> AND RELATED SERVICES FOR PROPOSED RESIDENTIAL <br /> DEVELOPMENT AT 2150 ROOSEVELT AVENUE <br /> <br /> (DAVID J. POWERS & ASSOCIATES, INC.) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Classic Communities, Inc. (the "Developer") has submitted a <br />proposal for a 26-unit residential development on a 2.1 acre site at 2150 <br />Roosevelt Avenue in the City of Redwood City (the "Project"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in connection with the Project, preparation of environmental <br />studies and documentation is required pursuant to the California Environmental <br />Quality Act ("CEQA"; Pub. Res. Code §21000 et seq.), the State Guidelines <br />implementive thereof ("State CEQA Guidelines"; 14 CCR §15000, et seq.) and <br />the City's regulations implementive thereof ("City's CEQA Regulations"; <br />Resolution No. 6682, as amended); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to City's CEQA Regulations, City has determined <br />that said environmental studies and documentation shall be prepared pursuant <br />to contract entered into with a consultant subject to funding therefor by the <br />Developer; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Developer has deposited with City the estimated fees and <br />costs to be incurred pursuant to said Agreement; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, preparation of an Initial Study is required to provide City's <br /> decision-making bodies with an objective determination of impacts caused by the <br /> Project; and <br /> <br /> <br />
