AGREEMENT <br />COST SHARING AGREEMENT FOR ROAD REPAIR AN <br />COSTS AT A PORTION OF DOUGLAS AVENUE (NORTH FAIR OAKS AREA) <br />AND WILMINGTON WAY (EMERALD LAKE HILLS) WITHIN CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY LIMITS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 2019 BAYSIDE CAPE AND SLURRY <br />SEAL PROJECT [COUNTY PROJECT NO. RW906; PROJECT FILE NO. E4999000] <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this /;14A day of Suh e <br />2019, by and between the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, a political subdivision of <br />the State of California, hereinafter called "County", and the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />a charter city and municipal corporation of the State of California, hereinafter called <br />"City" <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, the City and the County are desirous to slurry seal and perform <br />restriping at a portion of Douglas Avenue in the North Fair Oaks Area and to cape seal <br />and re -install traffic buttons at a portion of Wilmington Way in the Emerald Lake Hills <br />Area; and <br />WHEREAS, the City and County agree that the County shall act as the lead <br />agency in the preparation of plans, specifications, contract award and administration, <br />construction inspection, and related documents for the slurry sealing, cape sealing, re - <br />striping, and installation of traffic buttons at portions of Douglas Avenue and Wilmington <br />Way within the City's limits; and <br />WHEREAS, the portions of Douglas Avenue and Wilmington Way being slurry <br />sealed, cape sealed, re -striped, and requiring the installation of traffic buttons are within <br />both the corporate limits of the City and unincorporated San Mateo County; and <br />WHEREAS, the City's area to be slurry sealed, cape sealed, re -striped, and <br />requiring the installation of traffic buttons in accordance with this Agreement is shown <br />on "Exhibit A", attached hereto and incorporated by this reference; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed slurry sealing, cape sealing, re -striping, and installing <br />traffic buttons on a portions of Douglas Ave and Wilmington Way shall include, but not <br />be limited to: pavement repairs, slurry sealing, cape sealing, re -striping, installing traffic <br />buttons, and other items of work associated with the 2019 Bayside Cape and Slurry <br />Seal Project ("the Project"). <br />Page 1 of 7 <br />REV: OS -13-19 PR <br />ATTY/AGR.2019.123/San Mateo County <br />
