03/07/2011 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15094 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT <br /> NO. 2 TO AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY AND <br /> THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> (ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES) <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health <br /> and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq. (the "Redevelopment Law "), the <br /> Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redwood City (the "Agency ") is authorized to <br /> transact business and exercise powers under the law, and has the power to enter into <br /> contracts necessary or convenient to the exercise of its powers; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency is responsible for implementing the Redevelopment Plan <br /> for the Redwood City Redevelopment Project Area in the City of Redwood City, <br /> California (the "Redevelopment Plan "), as such Redevelopment Plan was adopted and <br /> amended from time to time, in compliance with all requirements of the Redevelopment <br /> Law; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the Redevelopment Plan for the Redevelopment Project <br /> and the provisions of Section 33670 of the Health and Safety Code, the Agency is <br /> entitled to receive certain allocations of tax increment revenue ( "Tax Revenues "); and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 33126 of the Redevelopment Law, the Agency <br /> has the authority to hire employees as it requires; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency and City entered into an Agreement for Services, dated <br /> January 8, 2003, and effective as of July 1, 2002 (the "Original Agreement "), as <br /> amended by Amendment No. 1, dated July 1, 2008 ( "Amendment No. 1 ") (the Original <br /> Agreement and Amendment No. 1 are hereinafter referred to collectively as the <br /> "Agreement') pursuant to which the Agency is obligated to reimburse the City for certain <br /> designated administrative services (the "Services ") being provided by the City in each <br /> fiscal year per an adopted Annual Budget; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency and City desire to modify and amend the Agreement to <br /> clarify the Services and procedures to be followed for reimbursement of the costs of <br /> such Services; <br /> /// <br /> 1 <br /> ATTY /RESO.2105 /AGREEMENT FOR ADMIN SERVICES #15094 <br /> 022411 MUFF # 405 <br />
