4/09/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14183 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL <br />OF APPLICATION TO THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY TRAIL <br />PROJECT FOR 2001 CONSTRUCTION GRANT IN <br />CONNECTION WITH THE BLOMQUIST STREET EXTENSION <br />PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City proposes to construct a <br />bicycle /pedestrian facility as part of the Blomquist Street Extension Project in the <br />City of Redwood City (`Project'); and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to apply for the 2001 Construction Grant <br />offered by the San Francisco Bay Trail Project, a nonprofit organization <br />administered by the Association of Bay Area Governments ( "ABAG "), to <br />construct said bicycle /pedestrian facility relating to the Project; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That certain application to the San Francisco Bay Trail Project for the <br />2001 Construction Grant for grant funds in the total amount of Five Hundred <br />Thousand and No /100 Dollars ($500,000.00) for fiscal year 2001 funding, <br />entitled, "The San Francisco Bay Trail Regional Development Program — <br />Construction Grant Application Form" for the Project, a copy of which application <br />is on file in the office of the Community Development Services Director, to which <br />copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby <br />approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute <br />Reso -1104 1 <br />FXS:djk <br />F: /Shared /Redwood /CoundI <br />03/12/01 <br />
