CGM:bc 8/6/80 RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. 8654 ORIGINAL AUG 11 1980 RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR FURNISHING OF SELECTED MATERIALS (1980-1981) FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS~ REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED~ AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACTS FOR FURNISHING OF SAID MATERIALS~ AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8619, adopted June 23, 1980, the City Clerk called for bids for the furnishing of selected materials for the Department of Public Works for fiscal year (1980- 1981)~ and WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the furnishing of materials as specified under Bid Items I-A through Items 3-C~ and WHEREAS, REDWOOD SUPPLY AND TRUCKING, Redwood City, California is the lowest responsible bidder for Bid Items I-A and I-D; PENINSULA BUILDING ~~TERIALS CO., Menlo Park, California, is the lowest responsible bidder for Bid Items I-B and 3-C~ J. L. RICE TRUCKING AND t1ATERIALS, El Granada, California, is the lowest responsible bidder for Bid Item l-C~ and LYNGSO GARDEN ~ATERIALS, Redwood City California, is the lowest responsible bidder for Bid Items 2-A, 2-B, 3-A and 3-B~ NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The bid of REDWOOD SUPPLY AND TRUCKING, in the total amount of Thirteen Thousand Eight Hundred Forty-seven and No/IOO Dollars ($13,847.00), more or less, for Bid Items I-A and I-D, for the furnishing of sand and fines (road filler) in accordance with the specifications therefor, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said materials. 8654
