<br />o <br /> <br />sQmf <br /> <br />11/13/80 <br /> <br />NOV 1 7 1980 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 873 5 <br /> <br />ORiGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR CONSTRUCTION OF <br />FIRE STATION NO.2; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS <br />RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY <br />DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8697, adopted September <br /> <br />16, 1980, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of <br /> <br />Fire Station No. 2 in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HALL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, Cupertino, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award said bid to said HALL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of HALL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, in the amount of <br /> <br />Five Hundred Thirty-two Thousand Five Hundred Eleven and No/IOO <br /> <br />Dollars ($532,511.00), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal <br /> <br />dated October 28, 1980, for construction of Fire Station No.2 <br /> <br />according to those certain plans and specifications entitled <br /> <br />"Redwood City Fire Station No.2," is hereby accepted and said <br /> <br />bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible <br /> <br />bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />for the abovementioned work, other than the bid mentioned in <br /> <br />paragraph 1 hereof, are hereby rejected. <br />3.
