RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN APPLICATION FOR CALIFORNIA PARKLANDS ACT 1980 FUNDS FOR HOOVER SCHOOL PARK WHEREAS, the People of the State of California have adopted the California Parklan&Act of 1980 at a special election consolid- ated with the general election held on November 4, 1980, the pro- visions of which make available funds to certain local governments of the State of California for acquiring areas for recreation, conservation and preservation to ~ncourage the providing of recreational opportunities and facilities for citizens of Calif- ornia; and WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the program, and has established necessary procedures governing applications by local agencies under this program; and WHEREAS, said procedures established by the Director of Parks and Recreation require an applicant to certify by resolution the approval of applications prior to submission of said applications to the State of California; and WHEREAS, said applications contain a certification that an applicant will comply with all Federal, State, and local environ- mental, public health, relocation, affirmative action, and clearing house requirements, park and recreation plan, and all other approp- riate codes, laws and regulations prior to the expendibure of California Parklands Act of 1980 Funds; and WHEREAS, the development of Hoover School Park is of a high priority and satisfies the most urgent park and recreation needs of the City of Redwood City; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 8931
