<br />JR:9/15/82 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />9231 <br /> <br />N o. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING MONTHLY CHARGES FOR THE MAKING OF <br />SANITARY INSPECTIONS AND FOR THE COLLECTION AND REMOVAL OF <br />REFUSE IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has advised this Council that <br /> <br />the charges for sanitary inspection and refuse collection services in <br /> <br />this City be amended to reflect the increase in costs incident in <br /> <br />providing such services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to increase the charges for <br /> <br />sanitary inspection and refuse collection services; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The schedule of charges for sanitary inspection and refuse <br /> <br />collection services shall be based upon the type and size of the <br /> <br />receptacle in which the refuse is deposited (except for mechanically <br /> <br />compacted refuse) and the frequence of service as follows: <br /> <br />(a) For weekly collection from receptacles not emptied by <br /> <br />mechanical means: <br /> <br />Capacity of <br />Receptacles <br />In Gallons <br /> <br />Monthly Rate <br />for each <br />Receptacle <br />$ 4.02 <br /> <br />5.23 <br /> <br />6.38 <br /> <br />- 20 <br /> <br />21 - 40 <br />41 - 60 <br /> <br />The charge for collections from each container, the capacity of <br />which exceeds sixty (60) gallons, shall be six dollars and thirty- <br />eight cents ($6.38) plus an amount equal to eight and seven-tenths <br />cents (8.7) times the number of gallons of such receptacle in excess <br />of sixty (60). <br /> <br />If more than one can is located at the same pickup location, the <br />charge for such additional cans shall be reduced by ten percent. <br /> <br />(b) For weekly collections from bin-type receptacles used with <br />read-end vehicular loader equipment: <br /> <br />Capacity of <br />Receptacles <br />In Cubic Yards <br /> <br />Monthly Rate <br />for each <br />Receptacle <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />$34.60 <br />65.61 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />SfP 2 7 1982 <br /> <br />9231 <br />
